Season of Giving
Hello friends, today on the blog, it’s the season of giving! Every year about this time I share my shoe poem, this year is no different (smile). I also encourage you to donate a new unwrapped toy to Toys for Tots. As you are dashing about gathering toys and gifts for your loved ones, if it is within your budget, I ask that you add an extra toy to your basket this year. We donate a new unwrapped toy every year to Toys for Tots. If you don’t know where to find a legitimate donation site near you, please click at the top of the Home Page of their website (www.toysfortots.org) and select the “Find Your Local Chapter” tab. It will list where you can find donation box near you. If you know someone who may need to receive a toy this year, you can click on the request a toy link on the website too.
My Christmas Shoes
- I turned on the light and threw open the door,
- The closet was full from ceiling to floor.
- My shoes were all lined up in nice tidy rows,
- Some high and some low, and some with pretty bows.
- They shined and they sparkled in so many hues,
- Today I will sort them and decide which to choose.
- So I search and I sort and I find the best pairs.
- I stack them on floors.
- Put them in boxes,
- and on chairs.
- I package them up in a box marked from me.
- It’s time to donate, it’s Christmas you see.
- I give all year long and at holidays too.
- So out they will go, to be someone’s new shoes.
- What’s next you might ask?
- Well it’s easy for me.
- The coat closet for sure, nobody needs more than three.

Do you donate to Toys for Tots?
I look forward to seeing you back here on Thursday for the best blog hop in blog land (smile)
My daughter and I have volunteered at the Salvation Army for over 20 years for The Giving Tree, they collect toys and gift cards for children and teens.
Laurie! How wonderful to see a comment from you! That’s wonderful, the giving tree is a lovely way to uplift those who are less fortunate, especially this time of year. Hugs!
