Nearly Summer Peonies
Dear friends, as the unofficial start of summer is nearly here, I wait patiently for the peonies in our back garden to bloom. They are filled with fragrance already and the bees have been spending plenty of time enjoying the nectar dripping from the buds.
I shared this video on Instagram and facebook showing the flowers in bloom on the side of the house. We try to camouflage some of the meters, etc. But the peonies in the back garden haven’t bloomed yet.
The lilacs have come and gone quickly this year due to the weather. But their fragrance still remains.
and the viburnum bush still has a few flowers that weren’t taken by the recent storms.
The rest of the flowers are soon to be seen overflowing in the garden shed window boxes and filling our patio too. But for now, I wait patiently.
What’s blooming in your garden right now?
Wishing you all a beautiful day filled with the flowers you love. I’ll see you back here on Thursday for the TFT Blog Hop.
Oh my! There’s nothing like a spring peony to brighten a day… unless it’s the fragrance of a lilac! Thank you, Katherine!
I couldn’t agree more. The truth is if I could bottle it I would. I’d open the bottle all through the cold months to enjoy their beautiful fragrance. Hugs!
