Russell Gets Baptized
Hello friends, thank you for your kind comments and emails as I continue forward in my health recovery. Recently I left a note on post by Russell Brand, he is an English comedian, actor, presenter, activist, and Christian. He established himself as a standup comedian and radio host before becoming a film actor and I have always enjoyed his films. He has been on a journey to Christ for quite awhile and was recently baptized as a Christian.
Like everything he does, he does it with great enthusiasm and exuberance. Although I rarely leave comments for celebrities on social media. I found his announcement of finding God and becoming baptized as a Christian something I couldn’t pass by with simple smile emoji.
I congratulated him, and wrote something like, it is such a blessing when the light comes on in the darkness and you are filled with His love and peace. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you will be guaranteed a life without problems, loss, sadness or negative experiences. But it does provide a means to cope with such things. Give it to God and be aware of his interventions.” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me ” Philippians 4:13.
“we love God because He loved us first” 1 John 4:19
It is the effectual love of God that first changes our hearts in order to be capable of love, and it is His example of love, compassion, and guidance that prepare us to live our lives in a way that He will be proud of.
I’m happy to know Russell has found God, I’m happy for everyone who experiences the love and pure joy of God. To me baptism is the sensation of true faith, it is an emotional blanket that wraps me in God’s love. And although it is beyond a real word description, each of us has a different way of expressing our personal experience. But, we all agree that God’s love is a blessing, a strength, and a guarantee of life everlasting through Him.
That’s awesome!
Being a Christian means peace no matter what is happening in the world. This is not my final stop.
Love your comment my friend!!!!! Hugs
