Thanksgiving 2024 and Hope
Dear Friends, I’m watching the snow fall as I write this. I have you all on my mind. I’m praying for you. I have great hope for you. I hope you have all that you need. I hope that you are healthy and happy. I hope today’s day of gratitude is a welcome one.
What is hope? The Bible describes hope as a confident trust in God’s promises. So, even when they aren’t instantly fulfilled, there’s still hope. The Bible also says that hope is a gift from God that brings joy and strengthens people.
Psalm 71:14: “As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more”.
Romans 12:12: “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer”.
Psalm 119:114: “You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word”.
You can not have hope without faith. Faith comes first, then hope.
