A Message from the Heart

Hello friends, both old and new, as many of you know, I’ve shared this little corner of the internet with you for over 13 years, and in all that time, I’ve rarely touched on the weight of global issues. My intention is for this space to be a sanctuary. A place overflowing with love, encouragement, creativity and faith. (hug)

It is with that exact same love that I come to you today. I’ve spent time on my knees, praying that these words are received not as an attack, but as a gentle, protective embrace for God’s faithful. My only intention is to offer a reminder of the wisdom provided to us for our own peace and protection.

The Bible offers us guidance on how to navigate a world where voices are loud and intentions are sometimes hidden. We are warned of those who may appear righteous on the outside but carry motives that don’t align with the spirit of service. They are often referred to as “wolves in sheep’s clothing”. They use smooth talk and lie to distract us from what is true.

HOW TO IDENTIFY FALSE PROPHETS AND/OR LEADERSHIPS

CHARACTER OVER FAME: Begin by Examining their character, integrity, and humility, not just their popularity but in their actions.True leadership is found in humility and integrity. Does the person lead with a servant’s heart, or is there a focus on self-exaltation? Do they prioritize their own gain over the service of others.

THE WEIGHT OF TRUTH: Be wary of stories that feel fabricated or truths that feel distorted for personal gain. A leader should never use their platform to exploit the very people they are meant to care for. Their greed will exploit you with fabricated stories. By distorting truth, they claim authority that God has not given them. 

THE CORRUPTION IN POWER: They blindly follow and protect the leader. They speak lies and rule by their own authority. They cover up evil actions by corrupt leadership. Ezekiel 22:27

ACTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY: Jesus warned us about leaders who “tie up heavy, cumbersome loads” for others to carry but refuse to lift a finger themselves. True leadership is found in serving alongside the people.

THE SOURCE OF THE VISION: We must ask if a message brings us closer to God’s peace or simply fills us with “false hopes” born from human ego. As Jeremiah 23:16 reminds us, we should seek visions that come from the Lord’s mouth, not just from someone in a position of powers own mind.

I’m sharing this with you because I care deeply for you my bloggy friends. You are my online family. My prayer is that we all remain vigilant, anchored in prayer, and discerning of the spirits we allow to influence our lives. Let us choose to follow those who reflect the kindness, honesty, and selflessness of Christ.
