Spring Lilacs
Hello friends, the sweet scent of spring is officially drifting through the air! There is something so restorative about watching the yard wake up from its winter rest, and right now, the lilacs are truly putting on a show.
Our bushes are heavy with clusters of purple, and every time a light breeze catches them, the entire yard is filled with that unmistakable fragrance that only they can bring. Even the hummingbirds have taken notice, they’ve been busy dining on the sweet nectar. I often find myself standing as still as a statue just so I don’t disturb them. Honestly, I could stay there and watch them for hours.
I’ve always loved bringing a bit of the outside in, so I gathered a few snips to rest in a vase on the dining table. It makes the whole house “springy” (smile)

- The garden is filled with the fragrance of spring,
- A promise of all that the season will bring.
- The hummingbirds find their nectar a delight,
- Dancing through blossoms in shimmering flight.
- The lilacs are heavy with clusters of plum,
- While deep in the petals, the honeybees hum.
- The world is awakening, vibrant and new,
- With petals sparkling, all covered in dew.
What’s blooming in your garden?
Hugs!
