A Father’s Day Prayer
Hello friends, Happy Father’s day! I know for some the day may be bittersweet so I’ve written prayers for all of those we love and call Dad. I hope you find them uplifting. “Do everything in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14 (NIV)
Merciful Lord, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude as we celebrate Father’s Day. We thank You for the gift of family and for those you have placed in our lives to guide, protect, and love us. You are the ultimate Father, the perfect example of unconditional love, patience, and strength.
Merciful Lord, please bless them with Your wisdom and grant them the strength to lead their families with grace and integrity. In moments of exhaustion, give them Your strength. In moments of doubt, remind them of the profound impact they have on their children. May they feel deeply appreciated, loved, and honored today. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Lord, we also hold close in our hearts the fathers who have passed away.
Merciful Lord, for many of us, today brings a bittersweet ache as we miss their presence, their voices, and their embrace. We thank You for the lasting legacy of their love, the wisdom they instilled in us, and the memories we will always cherish. Please comfort those who are grieving today, and wrap them in Your perfect peace, knowing that You are a father to the fatherless. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
