We recently celebrated our oldest granddaughters birthday we went to our daughters house for a quiet celebration. She had a party the previous night with her friends. Here’s a photo of Savannah from a few months ago. She’s 12 now. I can’t believe we have a granddaughter who is 12…
She’s into lady gaga, pink nail polish, well, anything pink. Feathers in her hair, and basketball. She asked us for a basketball standard this year as her gift.
After a yummy dinner (birthday girl requested Chinese take away!)
We all headed outside to set up the the basketball standard. First step, read instruction Please notice it is daylight outside ( this is important).
We watched as Sparky ( my husband) and our son in law Jim got started.
Mckenna, our granddaughter, and Noah our other grandson, grabbed the box. And created this great tent. I don’t care what age you are, a box has potentenial for anything, a boat, a castle, a fort.
Our grandson Jonah ( those were his toes in the post below) was curious and took a peek.
We continued watching and listening as time ticked on, notice the daylight is fading in this photo. I think YOU should caption this photo! What do you think Savannah is saying? A prayer perhaps; Dear Lord please give us the strength to complete this task, amen.
I kept myself busy, taking photos and playing with our other grandchildren. It’s starting to look like something here.
Our beautiful daughter gets a smooch from Jonah
Noah found a seed pod.
Jonah found some pretty rocks.
You know me, I’ll take photos of everything. This is the bow we put on the box.
It’s ta daa time . Please notice the daylight has vanished. Did you hear the swoosh, that’s right my sweet bloggy friends, nothing but net!
Giveaway ends in 4 days! LOW ENTRIES get your entry in today. Good Luck!

Great bunch of pictures except for you not being in one of them. Happy Birthday Savannah from Odie down in NC. One more year and you’ll be a teenager. Studies are going great and it is still a lot of fun. Glad it’s thursday and not tuesday. Have a great one.
Big Hugs,
Odie

Thank you, I’m very rarely in any photos.. I’m always the one behind the camera. Happy to hear your studies are going well. My husband has decided to take another semester off because of his intense work schedule. Hugs!

She was thinking “It’s not going to happen, is it?” Seems like anytime I put something together, it takes twice the time is should.

Nothing beats a midnight game of basketball, right Katie? (LOL) Savannah looks like a fine young lady. I’m glad she has balanced Lady Gaga and nail polish with athletics because today’s kids aren’t getting enough exercise. My dad erected a basketball goal for me when I was 11 and I practiced many hours a day for years. It helped me to make the high school team and my church league squad.

She is an awesome girl. My husband played ball in school too. I always enjoy looking through the old newspaper clippings of him at his games. Big Hugs my friend!

They are beautiful Katherine! I haven’t gotten to that point yet, having boys makes it tough. We are keeping the youngest’s doggie while he’s away at college. Grandpuppy is the closets we’ve come thus far!
