Dream Boat
A little while ago I went with my wonderful husband to the boat show. He goes with me to art galleries and the occasional craft show, so it was my turn. 🙂
There were so many boats. Sweet hubby was searching for one in particular the Tracker! The search was on. Imagine if you will , well you have to because the photo I took didn’t turn out….,an airplane hanger filled with boats . That’s a lot of boats!
We wandered through the huge exhibit. Stopping to watch a wake board exhibition. Sorry the photos are blurry. I think it was a bad photo day, giggle. Oh how I wish I had the balance for that. It looked so fun. Have you tried wake boarding?
Then we turned the corner and we found a cooking demonstration presented by Chef Bryan Woolley. He is a local celebrity chef who promotes heart healthy recipes, he’s a regular on our local news KUTV channel 2. I stayed and watched for a little bit, while sweet hubby wandered around some more. There’s a lot of wandering involved in going to the boat show. I wish I would have been wearing my pedometer.
Chef Bryan was very entertaining. I watched him make some delicious looking facacia bread. He was also demonstrating the proper way to choose a pineapple. Don’t pull on the tops ( if they come out easy it is ripe) that is a myth! Instead touch the pineapple gently. It should be firm but with a gentle press should yield slightly. If it’s soft or spongy, don’t buy it. Check the color you are looking for a golden yellow color with a bit of green around the bottom.
Then as we reached the end of an aisle,I swear I could hear sweet hubby’s heart beating…. there it was, the tracker! One in red and one in blue. Its a 17 foot, deep V, aluminum hull, dual console fishing boat. Robert ( my hubby) spoke with Fred, the owner of Freds Marine ( a local boat shop that has been in business for about 30 years) Fred was very cordial and took the time to speak to me too.
On the way out we stopped to check out the Can-Am Spyder roadster: three wheeled motorcycle, it s on my sweet hubby’s wish list too. Ahh boys and their toys.
I know you are wondering did we buy a boat?…nope….Maybe he will this summer. You know I will blog about it! But, we are always dreamers. I dream of having an English garden and a cottage by the water. He dreams of a fishing boat and a three wheel motorcycle. Giggle. It’s good to dream. What do you dream about?

Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the boat show with your husband! I dream for a European vacation and you are right, dreams make life beautiful:). Happily following you through LF. Hugs~Poppy
Love all the pictures….never tried wake boarding, so I think I’ll pass on that. I do love me a boat ride, tho. You are so right….it’s good to have our dreams!
The boat show looks fun! My husband is talking about a three wheel motorcycle too. I’m too afraid to ride on a regular one. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I appreciate it. Come back and visit sometime!
Katie…I think your “sweet hubby” already has ‘his dreamboat”…it’t the first thing he sees in the morning and the last thing he sees at the end of the day…..:)
What I dream of? I dream of the day when I can see my beautiful granddaughter walk down the aisle with the true love of her life..to hopefully live my life long enough to experience a great grandchild….That’s what I dream…and a beautiful cottage surrounded by the gardens of my dreams overlooking a grand lake sitting in a chair next to my “sweet hubby”..that would be nice too…
Hi! It’s Sarah from Creating Amazing. I found you through the Linky Followers Hop and am following you now. I would love for you to follow me at http://www.creatingamazing.com. Every Friday I pick one of my followers to feature on my site. I would love if you would come and check it out.
I dream of returning to Africa for a second honeymoon. I dream of taking the RV out again on a road trip without a time limit. I dream of some new decorating items to fill in a few bare spots in the new house….I guess I am dreaming a lot!
Looked like a great day out with your hubby. Why can’t you combine your dreams? I have one I hope to put to the test later this year. That’ll be on the other blog. 🙂 Thanks for the linkups!
I haven’t been to a boat show in years. I remember it being fun and I always enjoy those things they sell on the sidelines.
So many things going on at the boat show. I’m glad your guy found his dreamboat!
I, too, have spent many hours “wandering” the shows…cars, outdoor living, trailer, home/garden, etc! I have to agree with your “Dream Boat” about the Can-Ams; they’re VERY cool.
We dream about being retired and having all the time in the world to finally enjoy all the “toys” we have managed to collect and some of the new inventory I’m sure we’ll have in the future. We’d seriously like to follow the NASCAR tour schedule one season!! (As for me, I dream about a completely organized craft room and having all my “scrapping” caught up!! LOL! I do believe, though, that it’s a NEVER ENDING project…)
Glad you got some enjoyment out of the show. And indoor wake boarding – wild!
We have a dream of having a boat moored on the Lago di Bolsena, which we are just a few minutes from. The difficult bit is obtaining a mooring as there is a high demand for the few spaces in our local harbour. We would have enjoyed the boat show, thanks for sharing virtually.
I dream about getting another dog.
I haven’t been to a boat, or car show, in decades.
