Decor I Adore-Sun Rooms
Decor I Adore, Sun Rooms-
I always enjoy visiting blogs that share their home décor and I often squeal with delight when they are sharing their sun rooms. Sun rooms bring the outside in. They provide an extension of the home that is filled with the warmth and light of the outside along with the comforts of indoor living.
For me they bring to mind a desire to pour a tall glass of iced tea and lean against a wall of pillows. I imagine time spent “unplugged” and a place where day dreams are encouraged. I imagine lazy afternoons and the fragrance of garden blooms freshly cut and placed in a vase on a table nearby. Now that is a lot of pressure for one little room. But, I think you can join me in this bit of imagined bliss when you see the sun rooms I found that inspire such flights of fancy.
This lovely sunlit room uses a simple black and white color theme. Adding accents of pastel pinks and a chandelier helps to create a bit of a feminine touch.
Those of you who join me on facebook may have seen this one I posted the other day. I was day dreaming of waking up and having tea and toast in this sweet sun room.
This wonderful full glass sun room adds a dining table to make this the perfect extension of their eating area. I like the idea of meals shared in this lovely room. Imagine a starry night viewed through the glass ceiling.
A simple screen porch gets a bit of added sun room style with some white wicker furniture.
I am loving the colors in this one. I have been adding these colors slowly throughout my house over the past few months. Wonderful mint and teal greens just remind me of the beach. I like to think this one is just a stones throw from a lake or ocean. The fun needlepoint swimmer pillow adds a wonderful beachy touch too.♥
A touch of nostalgia adds to this sun room style.
This grand sun room has plenty of blinds to add privacy when needed and to keep the sunshine from being to overwhelming on summer days. The over stuffed furnishings lend added living room style to this room and create a more formal setting.
Which one of these beauties is your favorite? Do you have a sun room?
I hope the grip of the polar vortex (that is freezing most of the US) is loosened a bit by the images of these lovely sunshine filled rooms. Have a great weekend everyone. Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, “I’m possible!”-Audrey Hepburn

I have always dreamed of a sun-room and my favorite one has to be the full glass one. I have always thought a sun-room would be so nice in the winter to allow the sun’s warmth in while reading on a couch. I know my dog would love lying on the floor soaking up all the sun. Great post!
I always dream of having a sunroom… these pics are beautiful! thanks for sharing, Maryann
Now a sunroom would make a great place to take an afternoon nap. Now I am dreaming of one!
I would so love to have a sunroom. I spend most of the summer outside but winter keeps me stuck inside most of the time. These are some beautiful photos you shared.

These are gorgeous. We had a sunroom in Florida that led to the pool. I miss them both, but not the work that went w/the latter. 😉
I look at all these pictures and I really love them. However, they make me wish my little old house could be transformed in some way! We bought our house 6 years ago at the wrong time for more than it’s worth and now it’s fallen in value. The money we had put by for renovations has been spent during a year of unemployment. But some day, we will do something like this. I couldn’t choose from them because they are all beautiful!
Lovely inspiration rooms! Thank you for linking up to the Weekend re-Treat Link Party!

I couldn’t choose, just adored all of these sun rooms. My grandmother had a sun room built on as a front porch. It was a fond memory from my childhood. Thanks for making me think of her! Happy Weekend
These are gorgeous, I love a good sun room! That third pic is especially lovely! x
All those rooms are wonderful, but I love the second one! x
I love the “vintage” nostalgia one the best! **A touch of nostalgia adds to this sun room style.
Melissa, somehow I knew you would like that one. Hugs
I’ve often thought about turning my front porch into a sunroom. It would give me an extra season of use. Of course, it wouldn’t be the size of the ones you’ve shown, but we can dream.
It is always important to dream. I am a happy daydreamer. It sounds like you have the perfect sun room possibility. Hugs
I like the 1st and last ones. They all help during this long and difficult winter.
So happy that it lighten the snowy weather for you my friend Hugs
Beautiful sun rooms. I wish I had one!
Maybe one day we both will. Hugs
I love sun rooms and wish I could find a house with one, I think my husband agrees with me. There is one in my temporary rental, but it was poorly built and they had plastic stapled over the windows when I moved in. I pulled all of it off, but there is still holes in the window frames from the plastic. So ugly, but with that said, I do have my sewing room in there and love the sunshine during the day!
Missy you made a happy place to do your sewing xo
I love sun rooms as well!
The perfect place to start the day or end the day for that matter, LOl xo
They are all gorgeous and right about now it is freezing here and would be in 7th heaven if I could have a sun room and have the view of the warm sun instead of the cold, chilly snow grounds we have here. Have a wonderful weekend, Katie and thanks for sharing 🙂
I think we both need sun rooms, Hugs and happy weekend!
Hi, Katie! I can’t choose a favorite because I love them all. Mrs. Shady and I have a sun room. We keep a treadmill in it and it doubles as a gym. On the other side of the room I have a collection of cacti and succulents. I used one of the walls to hang my collection of framed vintage movie posters. Living in Florida as we do, we have wicker furniture, teal walls and flamingo room accents. A warming trend is underway in my part of the world and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s are predicted this weekend. I hope you have a great one, dear friend Katie!
Oh my goodness it is positively frigid there, giggle. I am a bit jealous of your sun room. Hugs
These are beautiful, I love the 1st & 2nd ones…stunning!! I hope you have a gorgeous weekend doll xx
Wonderful choices. I was just in dreamland searching for these. hugs and happy weekend xo
