Popsicle Colors
Popsicle Colors
I am happy to share that I am a Brand Ambassador for Graham & Brown and I join 49 other bloggers worldwide who will accept a monthly challenge in the ‘Year in Design 2015’. The Challenge this month is- Where can you see Popsicle colors in your past, present and future? Summer time is filled with cold ice cream treats and Popsicles so this Popsicle color challenge is perfect for this time of year.
As a young girl my thoughts often drifted to pretty pink things and my Mothers beautiful pastel pink dress always topped the list. This dress is one of my most cherished treasures. She wore it when she married my Father on a sunny June day in London. She looked like a glamorous film star in the 60’s ( this dress has a 22 inch waist!). It is so delicate I was hesitant to iron it. The bodice is filled with beautiful bits of lace, isn’t it lovely.
One of my favorite summer Popsicle flavors has always been lemon ice. I have fond memories of our time living in France and the the pale yellow curtains in our kitchen window.
Light and airy they would dance on the breeze and catch the glow of the morning sun.
On my sixteenth birthday my Mother and I painted my bedroom a pretty shade of lavender.
Then we covered one wall with beautiful wallpaper filled with purple flowers. Very similar to this lovely Reed Pink from Graham & Brown.
Now I ‘m loving the fresh strawberries from our garden with my breakfast and as the temperature rises I see plenty of strawberry Popsicle’s in my future too. You can find my recipe HERE
These lovely fuchsia colored peonies from our garden are a wonderful Popsicle color. I was so grateful I was able to take some photos before the recent hail storm damaged all of them.
What Popsicle colors do you see around you today?

When James and I moved to the ranch, and I redid our 100-year-old “Little House,” my girlfriend said I’d chosen sherbet colors, which are similar to what you’ve chosen. They’re light and lovely, subtle and soothing. I love them!
xoxoxo,

Your mom’s dress is gorgeous and timeless!
I can imagine each of your memories as a popcicle flavor! It is super hot in Hong Kong and a popcicle would not last a minute without melting. For some reason I have an orange popcicle on my mind, craving one right now….Wishing you a super week!
O I love the colors you picked! And that dress is just absolutely beautiful… 😉 It’s been raining here today like crazy so not much popsicles on my mind right now… 😉

Love love love your moms beautiful dress. I have my om’s wedding dress too – and she had a 21 inch waist. How did they do it. I don’t think my waist was ever that size! Have a wonderful weekend Katie!
