After School Snacks
After School Snacks-
Our grandchildren all went back to school this week, time flies! We are fortunate to have our grandchildren living close by. As they all get settled in and adapt to their changes at school there is one thing that remains consistent…. the desire for an after school snack. Of course keeping it healthy is a must (must try). A piece of fresh fruit or cut up veggies is always good. But, when I look into the sweet eyes of our weary scholars as they drag their backpacks through the door, minds filled with new knowledge, the battle cry is heard, ” I’m hungry! “when your fresh fruit and veggies snacks get a shrug and a possible frown. I thought I would create a pinterest board HERE then I looked through my archives to find a few more after school snack ideas too.
My zucchini cookies are a nice treat and low sugar too.
Our grandchildren also enjoy fruit smoothies. You can find my low fat version HERE
My banana nut muffins are a great grab and go snack too. You can find them HERE

I look forward to seeing you all at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop. You can start linking tomorrow night at 7:00 PM (MST)
Katherine, it’s so special that can have your grandchildren so close. I am sure they love coming through the door of your house and having special snacks ready for them. Thanks for joining us on Oh My Heartsie Girl Wordless Wednesday!
