Prayer Request
Prayer Request
Hello sweet bloggy friends. I am postponing Make It Monday and moving it to Tuesday (it’s not the first time and Lord knows it won’t be the last). Today’s prayer request takes precedence over anything else. A breast cancer diagnosis is life-changing, beyond devastating and very scary. Many of us are far too familiar with this heart breaking diagnosis.
Debi, from Surroundings by Debi, our sweet bloggy friend, beautiful bright light and a treasured member of my bloggy family, was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. She knows I am sharing this with you today.
What do you say when a friend or family member has cancer (or a medical crises?) Is there anything that can be said? I know nothing can ever prepare us emotionally when you or someone you care about has cancer. Offering comfort, prayer, strength and keeping focused on the person who has cancer is important. He or She will want to cry, vent, ask why and scream out to the heavens. Let them do it, scream with them, but always remember this is not about us or how we are feeling not even how our heart is breaking. Please oh please, do not say, “everything will be alright” or any other similar platitudes. Instead express your love and offer comfort, a shoulder to cry on, prayer and a hand to hold. Ask if there’s anything you can do to help. Cook meals, take kids to school, cleaning, trips to the market or to pick up prescriptions, etc.
Please join me in Prayer
Lord, we know through you all things are possible, we gather together and ask you to keep Debi wrapped in angel wings, safe and protected. We ask you to give her strength to heal and renew her body. Please provide your love as she moves forward with her health challenge. We ask these things through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
It really goes without saying that Debi will not be blogging much. But,I will keep you posted. She does have a spot on the caring bridge where you can provide love and support and she will share when she feels up to it too. CLICK HERE

Oh Katherine, there ar no words that accurately express how sad I am to hear this. Save that, I am adding my prayers. Thank you for your beautiful prayer and informing us.
Hugs to you, friend,
Theresa.
I am wishing her much strength and a full and speedy recovery.
Lifted a prayer for Debi’s healing and for the Lord to pour his positive attitude into her spirit and physical being that the battle that rages around her she can meet with her confidence of our sovereign Father! Be strong in the Lord, and blessings to all!
I’m a woman of great faith, and a breast cancer survivor. It’s been 11 years since my diagnosis, and I want to encourage Debi to continue to ask God for strength and healing. This may sound strange, but I also want her to drink lots of water as it will help flush out the chemo and other toxins that are helping God kill her cancer. With much love and support, Brenda
I am so sorry to have read the sad news about Debi, I just went over to the care bridge and sent her a message. You are such an amazing person and thanks for being so caring.
Lots of XoXo

Thank you for sharing this with us. This beautiful lady is in my prayers and I will continually ask God to comfort her and heal her and be with her and her family.
I will definitely add Debi to my prayer list. After losing a husband to brain cancer, besides a sister-in-law and an Aunt to other variations of this horrid disease, cancer is no stranger to my family. I will also pray for her doctors and family. They need prayer support as well. Thank you for informing us. Please keep us updated on her treatments, when she feels comfortable in sharing.
Praying.
Katherine,
My heartfelt prayers and positive thoughts go to Debi and her family. May the road to recovery be smooth and swift.
Hugs,

Let’s get this prayer chain going! Such a very sweet post Katherine. Prayers and well wishes to Debi and her family.
This diagnosis is never welcomed and can certainly be a challenge. A beautiful prayer, Katherine, and I will continue to pray for Debi, her family and the medical team for their skills and knowledge. I would like to recommend a wonderful support group ~ Chemo Angels. I’ve been a volunteer since I retired in 2003. It’s all positive and uplifting for those going through treatment. Perhaps you can discuss with Debi and either of you can sign her up! http://chemoangels.wix.com/chemo-angels-1/
Each and every person is guaranteed privacy.
Thank you for letting us know! One can never have enough prayers and positive support!
