Easy Tomato Pasta Bowl
Easy Tomato Pasta Bowl
Before I share this yummy tummy warming recipe for an easy tomato pasta bowl I would like to follow up on yesterday’s post. Thank you to all who commented and sent me private emails. I neglected to mention that I sent my gift giver a thank you card. I was a bit surprised at some of your emails. If by sharing my gift exchange experience you felt I was being rude, that was not, and and would never be, my intention. I had a commitment to fulfill with the lovely hostesses of the gift exchange. I never mentioned my gift givers name or blog. I shared my experience. Katherines Corner is a blog for sharing. Okay now lets get cooking!
If you are like me you spent a whole lot of time cooking over the holidays. I loved it all though no complaints here. I gained 5 pounds between Thanksgiving and new years. I enjoyed every bit of salty goodness( I can’t have sweets) , every chip, cracker and bowl of popcorn ( wink). my stomach still cries out for salty, but I have to say no. Instead I have a “go to” pasta dish that is so easy you will laugh when you read it below.
What You Need
1 lb. pasta cooked according to directions (drained)
1 clove garlic (crushed)
3 Tbsp. canola oil (or olive oil)
1 Can ( 14.5 oz) basil oregano and garlic stewed tomatoes ( I use Hunts)finely sliced
1/2 tsp Dried red pepper flakes
Large Nonstick skillet
Before You Start- Drain stewed tomatoes (reserve liquid)
Let’s Make It! Add oil to skillet, add garlic, saute’ over medium heat until garlic is soft, add stewed tomatoes and pepper flakes. Stir to combine. Add cooked spaghetti and mix well.
Serves 4
I told you it was easy!
Katies Tid Bits* try adding sliced black olives, cooked chopped salami or pepperoni. Use the reserved tomato liquid for another recipe or heat and add to this pasta dish.
I hope you will try this Easy Tomato Pasta Bowl . Your tummy will thank you.
