Dusty Blue
Dusty Blue
Pumpkins have been popping up in our local market and at a few farms in our area too. It seems a bit early for pumpkins though. It was 83° ( F) today with a low warm breeze. I sound like a meteorologist ( wink). Have you seen the new pumpkin colors? Pretty dusty blue and dusty pink colors that almost look like chalk paint has been perfectly applied.
Last year I looked high and low for boo pumpkins. The little white ones are really called boo pumpkins. I used them in a variety of ways. Ideally I’d like to find some of these little boos and add some pink and blue ones too.
I had some fun taking photo’s of this dusty blue beauty.
Do you grow pumpkins? I’d love to know if the blue ones need any special attention. Their skin seems a bit softer than a typical orange jack o lantern style pumpkin. I might scoop out and dry some blue seeds for next year.
Thank you for reading my ramblings about my dusty blue pumpkin.
I hope to see you back here tomorrow night for the Thursday Favorite Things link party ( early birds can start linking at 7pm ( MST). Please invite your bloggy friends to join in the fun. I noticed last week that we didn’t have as many participating. I hope you are not tired of sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things Link Party.
I love all the new colors for pumpkins, orange is really not one of my favorites. These are beautiful!
Thank you for stopping by to share on Wordless Wednesday this past week.

Ooh, those are so pretty. I haven’t seen these yet! Your photos are just beautiful.
I’m loving the blue pumpkins and no, I haven’t seen them before! They go great with the little white..err Boo pumpkins. I learned new pumpkin info today) Have a great day!
That little dusty blue pumpkin was so cute – I didn’t know they had those! I’ll have to keep an eye out.
I love finding something new to decorate with. I hope you will find some too. Hugs
Your little pumpkin vignettes are charming. So different from traditional fall decor. It seems there are white pumpkins being used all over the place! That blue one you have is very unusual. I didn’t know they grew in that color! But I do really like the subtlety of that one and the white ones for decorating. Nice to have something different to use.
I have signed up to receive your blog in my e-mail, so I will look forward to seeing some more of your ideas and creations.
Hi Katherine, Just lovely in blue. I love the new colors and I have added light aqua pumpkins this year as well. Just beautiful my friend.

Hi Katie,
