Summer Tablescape Blog Tour

Hello bloggy friends happy weekend wishes! Last month I asked if you would like to be part of a summer tablescape blog tour and some of you said yes, thank you so much! If you are a subscriber you know I always say I am missing the tablescaping gene, wink. But, I put myself up for the challenge and I had fun doing it. I’m happy to be hosting two tablescapes created by my readers Gail and Cookie. You will find them on the tour list. I love Gail’s China Pattern and Cookie’s silverware cozy is so cute too! Enjoy the tour and thank you to all who participate and share.

I chose a beachy theme for my summer tablescape. This is no big surprise for those of you who are regular readers at Katherines Corner. I love spending time by the water. I dream of living in a little cottage by the water someday.

I put this tablescape together using things I already own.

Summer Tablescape Blog Tour

It was an overcast day when I set my table. But, it was still very hot. I used a pretty blue ombre curtain panel for my tablecloth, it’s from my prop box.

I found most of the shells while I was snorkeling in the Caribbean many, many, years ago. The starfish are from Michaels craft store, I’ve had them for a very long time.

The only purchase I made was for the pretty white carnations. I think I should cut them a bit shorter next time. What do you think?

You can see some of our fuschia colored petunias in this photo . If you follow me on instagram you’ve already seen them.

You can also see a bit of the veggie garden too.

You know our Izzy is never far away, he was supervising my tablescape creation. We keep the grass long to help conserve water and it helps to keep the lawn green too. Just in case you thought we were working on growing a jungle in the back yard, LOL.

Well there you have it my contribution to the summer tablescape blog tour. I am so happy to be hosting such a fun tour. I hope to improve on my tablescaping skills over time.

Enjoy the summer tablescape blog tour my friends! PLEASE leave comments and pin. All of the lovelies created beautiful tables.

You can still link up and share at the TFT party too.

Each tablescape creator will be put into a random drawing to win two prizes. The book Tableofferings and a Gift Code for my shop!

Cookie your table is beautiful! I’m a huge fan of using napkins as part of the stack. Such a pretty pattern on your dishes and I’ve been eyeing placemats like this for along time. Your hand painted petunias are beautiful and I would love to see painted rocks become a trend. It’s a pleasure to meet you and it’s so nice of Katherine to bring us all together.

Your tablescaping skills are on point and this is a lovely table. It appears that you have a green thumb as well. I am a big fan of non-traditional table-covers and your blue and white curtain panel is very pretty. The softness of this table is very inviting and beach themes are one of my favorites. Thank you for putting this tablescape challenge together it’s a pleasure meeting new bloggy friends.

How pretty, Katherine! I love your hombre tablecloth…it paired with the gorgeous glass candlesticks? *perfect* I love the colors so much for summer! You are lucky to have a covered patio. It’s so pretty, and I love your containers! The glass floats and other seaside elements make me want to go to the beach. I also like the texture of the woven placemats. Lovely table! Thanks so much for hosting! My daughter and I enjoyed it!

Your table is gorgeous Katherine! Coastal colors and beachy items are my favorite~ you definitely brought the sea to your table, I love the seahorse and glass accessories I enjoyed the tables by Gail and Cookie, but couldn’t comment so please let them know they were great additions to the hop! It is such fun to see all the different styles and interpretations of everyone’s table! […] My tablescape was inspired by my yoga figurines and my Turkish tassel throw. I cut some scrap fabric for the cake plate and napkins and used strips to make the wood bead garland. I bought these cute mason jar mugs years ago. Hubby and I went to dinner at a new restaurant and they had these mugs. He really liked them. I searched everywhere and finally found them online. Now you can find them everywhere, giggle. The beach sign was a gift from a sweet friend. This throw has been washed multiple times and the cute knotted tassels still look great. Pillows from the art room add a bit of purple to the chair. Are you curious about what was written on the message? I wrote to my hubby “no matter the season, warm or cool. One thing is always true, darling, I love you xo”. Do you remember when I created this summer tablescape? You can see it all HERE. […]
