Alfresco Dining and TFT Party
I love sitting on our back patio with my tea and toast, especially in the early morning when everything feels so fresh and new. The air is filled with the fragrance of petunias on our patio, the quiet as the sun begins to rise is only interrupted by our sweet Izzy as he chases a bird out of the garden. I love alfresco dining, especially breakfast. But for us, it is limited to a few short weeks in spring, the heat makes it difficult to dine outdoors this time of year. We’ll also dine alfresco again in the early autumn months.
Welcome to the TFT (Thursday Favorite Things) party! Every Thursday (through Saturday) blog writers and blog readers gather together to celebrate the joy of blogging by sharing an amazing variety of blog posts. There were so many wonderful things shared at the party last week. Please take a moment after you are done and click back to last weeks party to see what you might have missed. Every week I select a theme for my features, this week it is Dining Alfresco. Just a reminder when you share your posts each week nobody knows what the feature theme is. I love a little mystery! Fun, right?
Please remember to leave a comment with your link number after you add your blog post to the list. All of your hostesses share features every week too. You have several opportunities to be featured. Please remember to pin from the original blogs. But, I invite you to pin my feature collage, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Happy TFT day!
Now let’s shine the light on a few of the lovely posts from last week. Belle Bleu gets the alfresco theme started with her summer garden tablescape. Such a lovely setting for sharing a summer evening meal. I love how she has placed the table and chairs by the brick garden wall. She’s using Lenox butterfly meadow dishware ( one of my favorite things)! You all know I love just about anything with butterflies.
Debbies Buzz shared a DIY for a Don’t Bug Me Wreath. Nobody wants bugs bothering them while they are enjoying a repast while dining alfresco. I love everything about this wreath! The watermelon ribbon the metal ant, little strawberries, all of it. What a charming way to welcome guests ( no bugs allowed) to your home. Everyday Living created a fresh fruit and flower tablescape for a memorable alfresco dining experience. This garden is gorgeous! I love the bright citrus colors and fresh flowers as they are placed together in the center of her table. More than a centerpiece it is a table runner. Wouldn’t you love a bit of “semi-alfresco” dining in this lovely sunroom shared by the Dedicated House? I’ve written in the past about how much I would enjoy a sunroom. This one ( conservatory) is stunning don’t you agree? Meals could easily be served in this lovely sunroom.Thank you to ALL who share with us every week, and to all who stop by to enjoy the wonderful blog posts shared. It’s time to party my wonderful bloggy friends. I can’t wait to see what you share this week. *Inlinkz has implemented a new policy when you add your link to the list you need to click the little square boxes about their policies on the bottom right.
Remember you can add three links until midnight on Saturday. One each day or all at once.

Alfresco dining is so much fun, if the weather is great! Belle Bleu and Everyday Living have beautiful tablesettings, but all the tables look pretty.

Thanks for hosting, my dear! The weather has been way too hot and humid to dine outside here too but I’m not complaining. Winter is way too close. Enjoy your weekend!
Thank you for the link up. I’m #234 and #235 this week.
Happy TFT Katherine! Thanks for hosting!

Thank you Katherine for hosting and for the feature! Enjoy the rest of your week!!!
Thank you for the fun today Katherine, my links are #176, 177, 178. Tea and toast on the patio sounds lovely!
Dining in any of those settings would be great, but you’re right – can only do it for a short while in the spring and autumn. And have lots of citronella handy.
Katherine, thanks for not only featuring my Don’t Bug Me wreath but your lovely remarks about it! I liked how you tied it into your alfresco theme too. This week I’m featuring a pair of alfresco tables with a coastal theme, Don’t Be Crabby and Not So Crabby #162 and 163. Also my DIY vintage china tier server for my recent Alice in Wonderland theme party, #164.
Aw, we have been dining outdoors on our patio, too as we simply love it this time of the year. Happy Thursday and TFT Day, too! Hugs xoxo <3
