Thanks-a-Birthday
We are celebrating an early Thanksgiving this year, as well as a trifecta of birthdays, mine and our two grandsons. We want to celebrate with my Mother before she goes back home next week. So this Saturday its Thanks-a-Birthday at our house!
For our Thanks-a-Birthday meal, I will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal with two exceptions… Turkey comes in second place for the star of the show. Our lovely Mother is the star this year and along with pecan pie ( my recipe is HERE) I will be serving two birthday cakes! I froze a piece from my birthday last week, if you missed my dairy free, low sugar, pumpkin spice cake recipe please click HERE.
We will have 10 people sitting around the table this year instead of just me and my hubby. I need to keep the centerpiece simple. Here’s a preview. You know I love my little boo’s!
I love the idea of using boxes too ( did you see mine? Here) the talented people of Better Homes and Gardens have these great ideas.
Happy Thanks-a-birthday everyone! What will you have as your Thanksgiving centerpiece this year? Are you using boxes?
I invite you to join us for our blog link party TFT, on Thursday xo
Enjoy your celebration! All photos look so beautiful!…Christine
Wishing you a beautiful celebration! The more desserts, the better~
French Silk Chocolate Pie is my favorite holiday dessert.
Happy birthday then! Nothing wrong with two cakes.
Happy Birthday to you and your grandsons. We are all too familiar with Thanksgiving birthdays as my youngest was born two days before Thanksgiving back in 2010. Last year she shared her birthday with the turkey. This year she shares it with Black Friday. So here are to all the Thanksgiving time birthdays indeed! Hugs and hoping all is well with you right now xoxo <3
These are gorgeous. I love all of the muted table settings. TFS
