Flat Bunny Easter Craft

You’ve most likely heard of flat Stanley, so it is my pleasure to introduce you to his friend, flat bunny. A fun felt craft that can be “jazzed up in a variety of ways.

It’s spring break and our grandchildren will be staying with us. So it is the perfect time to get a little crafty. I say a little crafty because you will giggle when you see how easy it is to make flat bunny.

I’m a little embarrassed, I had to use the flash, it was so dark from the storm. But I think you can see how cute it is.

What You Need
Flat Bunny PDF template
2 Pieces of felt ( for each bunny), I’m using scraps of pink and blue because that is what I had in my craft supplies.
1 piece of iron on double-sided adhesive interfacing fir each bunny
1 cotton or pom-pom for tail (optional)
Iron
Glue gun and glue
Scissors
Straight pins
Ribbon for bow

Most of you know that I do everything freehand ,so it is perfectly imperfect, just like I am xo

Let’s Make it!
Turn on your iron to the temperature suggested on the interfacing package.
Cut out the template and place it on the felt. I suggest using straight pins to hold it in place, to keep your edges nice and clean.
Following the pattern cut out two felt bunnies.
Then repeat using the interfacing and cut one
Place one pink bunny face down and place the interfacing on top then add the second felt bunny and iron according to directions.
That’s it, your done, taa da…

No wait, there’s more. Heat up the glue gun and ….
Get jazzy with this cute extra, cut a bow tie or vest from a different color felt. Look how cute!

Or Glue a skinny dowel or popsicle stick between the felt and interfacing before ironing, to poke into planters or pots,
Add a cotton ball, or a pom-pom for a tail, I tucked mine inside the egg basket, so I didn’t add a tail.

There you have it, your very own flat bunny. This may be one of the easiest crafts I’ve ever created. Feel free to take a second bow for any “jazziness” you added and throw in an extra ta daa too.

I hope to see you all back here on Thursday for the TFT blog link party. Invite your friends!
