Free Printable Cross Stitch Patterns
Hello friends, well… because of the pandemic we all have time on your hands. Your to-do list may not include making something cute, but it should. I enjoy embroidery and simple cross stitch making. Have you ever made hoop art? The hoop is your frame, and it’s one of my favorite methods. Today I am sharing Free Printable Cross Stitch Patterns ( I think you can also use them for embroidery) When my mother taught me how to cross stitch and embroider we used embroidery floss and weavers cloth (or muslin) whatever was available and within our budget.

Two of my favorite cross stitch patterns came from Country Living, this flower-covered barn ( or home sweet home) and ripe red strawberries.

Iron on transfer paper makes it easy to put your downloaded pattern onto paper and then just iron it onto your fabric. This method is probably best for my simple bicycle image. I don’t have any special cross stitch software, so I hope you can make this pattern using the transfer method.You can leave off the wording if you prefer.

I used to cross stitch all the time and I could stitch for hours in one sitting. Sadly, I no longer have the time, but I’m still drawn towards the patterns.
Hi Katherine, The patterns are lovely. The strawberries appear to be in counted cross stitch and not needlepoint. Counted cross stitch uses floss and Aida cloth. Needlepoint uses penelope canvas and yarn. Also, needlepoint projects are usually have designs painted on the penelope canvas. That’s not to say that one can’t use a counted cross stitch design for needlepoint.
