Thoughts on October
Hello friends, it’s October. I know, you know, but….it’s October. Officially Autumn ( my favorite season). We picked our last zucchini the other day and I made bread ( photo from phone) you can get my recipe HERE. It was divine ( I have to omit the nut and raisins for mine). It was still warm from the oven when I added a pat of butter ( butter substitute) and enjoyed it with a cup of tea, it was blissful. Hubby spreads a layer of whipped topping on his, need I say more?
The past couple of years have me repeating myself, “where is autumn?” I ask. I mean, my goodness, we are still harvesting beautiful tomatoes from our veggie garden in October!
Our container garden is still flourishing .
October, I’m ready please come find me. Bring your golds, oranges, and shades of burgundy. Let me sleep with an open window and hear the crackle of leaves as they blow down the road. Let me drift to sleep in cozy comfort with thoughts of October and a big smile.
I must admit, I did take a peek at my sweaters and I may or may not have already started wearing my fuzzy socks.
I love sweater season…hello October, are you listening? I love “sweater season”.
Your garden looks amazing Katherine! I need to relocate mine to a sunnier spot in the yard!
I love October too! Sweaters, beautiful colors around, and lots of yummy treats like that zucchini bread.
My favorite part of autumn is the changing colors of the leaves and the crisp fresh air. I also like the fact I no longer have to mow. Yay!!
Still warm here with temperatures on the 60s and 70s here. But no complaints and I know sweater weather and colder weather will find us before we know it. Hugs and Happy Sunday now <3
