Flower Cupcakes for Mothers Day
Hello friends, Mother’s Day is next month. Let’s make something pretty to eat. I have on occasion asked you to play with your food ( smile). These flower cupcakes are a fun way to celebrate Mom ( or someone who is like a mom to you) and have a bit of play too.
When I was little my mother made doll cakes. I loved to watch her make them. She taught me how to make roses with a simple flat frosting tip and pastry bag. Here’s a tip- you can use a sheet cake or a plate for practice. I couldn’t find one like hers online, but I found one that came close.
I found a few flower cupcakes to inspire you. Now, lets play with our food ( smile).
Play with your food! Have you tried cake decorating? Which one of these yummy flower cupcakes will you make?
I look forward to seeing you back here on Thursday for the TFT blog hop link party. Bring your friends!

Oh, those cupcakes are so pretty! I need to learn how to make those roses! I love the doll cake. A good friend of mine always had those every year for her birthday, so she told me how to do it, and I made one for my daughter when she was 3. I have a picture of it on an old cake decorating post of mine at the blog! I love cake decorating, but I only know how to make stars. haha xo
I need to pop over and see your doll cake! The only thing I can do well are the roses and leaves, LOL xo
Katherine, how beautiful! What a great way to “play” with our food indeed! Beautiful post. ❤️
I hope you’re feeling better. Hugs.
Hello my friends thank you so much xo
Katherine, you’ve brought together some really nice cupcakes!!! I love all the flower ideas.
Thanks for sharing,
Barb ☺️
