Hello friends, today on the blog I’m continuing the Sunday Blessings blog series and free printables. I hope you are enjoying it. Today’s verse is from the book of Proverbs 11:25 (NIV) “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
Proverbs 11:25 (NIV) what does it mean?
This seems pretty straight forward, right? Kindness is rewarded. Did you know God has promised to bless generous souls with riches in this world, the next, or both, “the generous soul will be made rich”.
God blesses generosity by increasing what we have. He replenishes our supply through our acts of giving. This does not mean your only goal for being generous is knowing you will be made rich by God.
You should you give generously without that reward in mind. Those who are generous with others often see that kindness repaid. You may be rewarded in the most basic of ways, it makes you feel good to be generous with your time, knowledge, skills, money, etc. The “bonus” is God’s promise.
