Sunday Blessings 10

Hello friends, on the blog today, the 10th and final Sunday Blessings Post. I chose 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and 13 (NIV) it is one of my favorites and a favorite for many. I think it is fitting for my last post in this blog series, don’t you?

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV) And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

What Does It Mean

Seems to be pretty obvious, I know. Did you know love is mentioned in the NIV bible approximately 400 times? When Paul wrote this chapter and these verses he was encouraging believers of God’s love by motivating them to share love while serving others. We were created with love and in the image of love. Love is the powerful word that defeats all odds and gives us hope.
