A Prayer for September 11th 2023
Hello friends, today on the blog, we observe September 11th ( Patriot Day). It is the National Day of Service and Remembrance here in the US. Every year we say a prayer of remembrance. We know time marches on, but the loss and devastation of that day will always be remembered. It is a day of sorrow that is true, but it is also a day of gratitude. Gratitude for all who rendered aid, (there are far too many to list). Strangers helping strangers, first responders working alongside those who were able to escape the buildings. People of every religion, every political party, every nationality rallied together for one purpose, to lend aid where it was needed most.
The September 11th 2001 attacks in New York City, Arlington, Virginia and Shanksville, Pennsylvania took 2,996 people from their loved ones far too soon.
On this day please make time for prayer, fill your heart with all of the good things you know people have done and find comfort in knowing we must always be there for each other no matter what the circumstance.

Please join me in Prayer
Merciful Lord, on this anniversary of September 11, we honor the souls who perished on that day and we express gratitude to those who rendered aid. Please let us remember the events of this day with compassion and thoughtfulness for those who suffered personal loss and all of us as a nation. Through Your love, please guide us to express comfort and kindness for those who mourn. We pray through Your love, that we will find peace. That we will all draw strength from knowing that on that day we were all family, we were all friends, we were all neighbors. Help us to continue to always find light in the darkness of hatred. Please let us always know compassion and let us all find comfort in Your love. We pray for peace today and always.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Thank you my friend, I must admit I’ll need to watch it again. But I do remember it was beautiful. Hugs
