O Christmas Tree
Dear friends, one of the many joys of Christmas is decorating the tree. Big or small it is always fabulously festive. Some decorate using the same color. Others select a theme. Some trees are filled with handmade ornaments. Others are monochromatic. There are so many wonderful ways to decorate your Christmas tree.
As I mentioned in an earlier post. I decorated in a very minimal style this year. But, the “Christmas Tree Whisperer” (our daughter, Tiffany) made sure the Christmas tree was extra special. Our youngest grandson also helped it was a lot of fun.
Like many of you, I like to listen to Christmas music when decorating. I thought you would enjoy a copy of the lyrics to the much-loved Christmas Carol, “O Christmas Tree” (O Tannenbaum). Originating in Germany it is a worldwide symbol of holiday merriment. The song’s melody celebrates the beauty of the evergreen tree. Its lyrics highlight the tree as a timeless symbol of faith, hope, and renewal.
You can Download Below.(smile) I know there are other versions of the carol but this one is the most common.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
Not only green in summer’s heat,
But also winter’s snow and sleet.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Of all the trees most lovely;
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Of all the trees most lovely.
Each year you bring to us delight
With brightly shining Christmas light!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Of all the trees most lovely.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
We learn from all your beauty;
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
We learn from all your beauty.
Your bright green leaves with festive cheer,
Give hope and strength throughout the year.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
We learn from all your beauty.
I look forward to seeing you back here tomorrow for TFT maybe you’ll share your Christmas tree.
