The Little Joys
Hello friends, there is a certain kind of magic in the quiet moments of this morning. While the world outside often feels like it’s moving at a frantic pace, I’ve found myself leaning more and more into the beauty of the “little joys”. Those small shimmering threads of goodness that weave through our everyday lives. (smile)
My joys this morning are watching the steam lift off my cup of tea, listening to Izzy snore, and the soft sounds of Olivia Dean playing on the stereo.
I find so much comfort in the “little joys”, I don’t know if it comes with age or not. But they are often what sets the tone for my day. Even the sun streaming through the window catching those little dust particles I thought I’d cleared away yesterday is beautiful. (smile)

It’s easy to wait for the “big” moments to feel joy. But life happens mostly in the middle, in the quiet spaces between those big events. When we pause to appreciate the “little joys”, we realize that we are surrounded by a constant, quiet grace. This verse captures this feeling of peace and contentment.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17 (NIV)
What is one “little joy” that has made you smile this morning?
Thank you for spending time with me, Katherine xox
