Birthday Giveaway

Happy November friends! There is a wonderful chill in the air today, and as I sit watching the rain fall, it seems to transform everything outside into the most perfect “autumn-ie” ( I know it’s not a word) scene.

How can it possibly be November already? They say time passes quicker as you get older, and it truly does feel that way sometimes. Although, to be completely honest, I feel like I’ve been living in slow motion over the past couple of years. Health issues have a way of doing the exact opposite and making time drag on! But we press forward with faith and grateful hearts.

It’s my 66th birthday today! Hubby and I are so happy to share that our home will be filled with family this afternoon. We’re expecting our daughter, son-in-law, four of our grandchildren, and our sweet great-granddaughter. We will certainly miss the three who can’t be here. (our granddaughter and great-grandson who live in Ohio and my step-son who lives in Texas).

We have a lot of candles to blow out, because we’re celebrating three birthdays today: our son-in-law’s (October 4th), my hubby’s (October 17th), and mine! Hubby and I usually prefer celebrating birthdays on our actual special days, but life often has a way of shuffling our plans around. So, a group birthday is the solution this year. We couldn’t be more excited to have everyone under one roof!

For the past 14 years, I’ve hosted a birthday giveaway to thank each of you for blessing me with your subscriptions, your wonderful comments, your online friendships, and your ongoing support for everything I share here. Even though our most recent giveaway didn’t have its usual crowd (the winner has been emailed!), I’m still keeping the tradition alive with a birthday giveaway today! (smile)
