I have always enjoyed cooking and creating recipes and I encourage my grandchildren to cook with me too. Many of my recipes can be adapted to meet special diet needs. Please be aware of your allergies and migraine triggers before making my recipes. ♥
In an effort to provide recipes for special diet needs my recipes will often have substitution suggestions and other suggestions for special diets in the Katies Tid Bit Section of the recipe.
It is important to know your triggers. Always review my recipe ingredients before creating the recipe for yourself or someone who suffers from migraines or has food allergies. Even though I make them with most common triggers omitted. Some people may still have sensitivities.
Cooking a nice meal is becoming a lost art with so many needing something quick. I believe I am an unpretentious cook and I share a variety of recipes for food that is delicious and has easy to follow instructions.
I believe food tastes best when it is shared with the ones you love♥ My husband told me he fell madly in love with me after I cooked him his first meal. Mesquite steel head trout and Portobello mushrooms. I guess there is a bit of truth to the old saying, ” the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”.
for lemon/lime zest /juice use half measurement of distilled white vinegar ( example 1 tsp. lemon juice = 1/2 tsp. distilled white vinegar)for onion- use leeks,spring onion or green onion ( equal measurements)omit nutsomit dried fruits
