Book Club Treats
Book Club Treats-
Meals on Monday has a little twist today. I’m a bit under the weather ( head cold) so I am sharing some yummy book club worthy treats from the Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop. It’s also the perfect time to blow the dust off of the Katherines Corner book club. The summer is winding down, children are back in school ,and a good book is waiting. If you are not a member of the book club it’s easy to participate just click here.
Please leave your vote for the book you prefer to read in the comment section and I will announce the book with the most votes as our book club selection next Monday.
From the author who’s inspired millions worldwide with books like Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven comes his most imaginative novel yet, The Time Keeper–a compelling fable about the first man on earth to count the hours. The man who became Father Time.
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber comes a heartwarming new series based in the Pacific Northwest town of Cedar Cove, where a charming cast of characters finds love, forgiveness, and renewal behind the doors of the cozy Rose Harbor Inn.
On a seemingly ordinary Saturday in a California suburb, the earth has suddenly begun to slow. The days and nights grow longer and longer, gravity is affected, the environment is thrown into disarray.

I would love to participate in your book club. All of the books sound good to me, but if I have to choose, I would to with The Time Keeper.
The Age of Miracles sounds interesting, I guess that is my vote 🙂

I think I would vote for The Inn at Rose Harbor. I love getting in on a brand new series!
Hope you’re better soon. I’m too busy eating the treats to read the books, but it all looks like a good time.
Those cookies look delish.
The Inn at Rose Harbor sounds good.
Sending healthly prayers your way!
The almond joy cupcakes look wonderful!
I like all the titles but I’d probably go with The Age of Miracles.
Hi Katherine.
Firstly I do hope you are feeling heaps better!

Have a fabulous week.

I just saw the Mitch Album one at Barnes and Noble and almost bought it because I have read all his books and love everyone of them!! I would vote for that one. 🙂
Oooo… I LOVE Mitch Albom!!! And those treats are making my mouth water…. especially those cookies…. I’ll have to think about joining this book club!
So sorry you are feeling under the weather, I hate head colds. Have you ever tried EmergenC? It is a packet when mixed with water has 1000 mg of vitamin C. They have different varieties to choose from. Whenever I feel the starting of a cold, I start mixing a packet of this 3 times a day and I can’t tell you how much better and quicker my cold gets! You might want to give it a try. I do hope you get to feeling better soon! 🙂
Colds are a pain in more ways than one. Either of these books would be fine. I am partial to Mitch Albom so I’ll be reading that one anyway. Stay on the road to healthy…Blessings to you! Marie
Oh, I sure hope you feel better soon….I’m just getting back on my feet after a bad head cold, so I know how you are feeling…..cuddle up with Izzy and some hot tea and take a nap! LOL
I have so much drama and heartache in my life right now (but many blessings, too, don’t get me wrong) that a lighter book is my “style”…..I think the Macomber book would be my choice. But I’ll go with what everyone else chooses. 🙂
Hi Katie,
I hope you will be hale and hearty again real soon. Thanks for sharing these wonderful treats. Take care and all the very best to you.

So sorry you’re still not feeling well! Perhaps that hubby gave you his cold!
I would love to join the bookclub – sounds like fun! I checked all of these books on goodreads and they are all 4-5 stars (5 stars being the top). So any would suit me! And btw, all these authors are on goodreads as well, so if any of you are already members you can find out more about these authors
Aw, thank you so much for featuring my pumpkin cookies and for your kind comments on my blog! so encouraging!
Hope you feel better soon!
