Tea For One
Tea For One
It was a lovely day, the sun was shining bright in the afternoon sky, not a cloud to be seen. There was a slight breeze that carried the fragrance of the garden flowers in my direction. Just enough of a breeze to keep the temperature tolerable. I set a pretty table and I sat and had a spot of tea.
I clipped bright colored peonies from the garden too.
Alone with my thoughts ( Izzy was asleep in a shady spot). I kept thinking about how nice it would be to have you all here with me. You, my bloggy friends. Gathered together around a much bigger table.
A lively discussion between sips of tea and bites of biscuits.
How fortunate I am that I can visit your lovely blogs and feel as though I am having tea with a friend.
Have a beautiful weekend my friends. Smile often and have a cup of tea for me.
“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” ― C.S. Lewis
“A cup of tea would restore my normality.” ― Douglas Adams
“As far as her mom was concerned, tea fixed everything. Have a cold? Have some tea. Broken bones? There’s a tea for that too. Somewhere in her mother’s pantry, Laurel suspected, was a box of tea that said, ‘In case of Armageddon, steep three to five minutes’.” ― Aprilynne Pike, Illusions
“There is something in the nature of tea that leads us into a world of quiet contemplation of life.” ― Lin Yutang, The Importance Of Living
“While there is tea, there is hope.”― Arthur Wing Pinero
“Tea to the English is really a picnic indoors.” ― Alice Walker, The Color Purple
Do you sit with a cup of “insert favorite beverage name here” and think the same thing?

Looks lovely :). This is the very type of thing I would do! Tea is even better with a friend, but it’s nice sometimes to have some peaceful me time with a good cup. Herbals are my favorite!
Love pictures, I could just sit and have a drink of tea with you 🙂
Have a lovely weekend…
Happy Pink Saturday, Katherine 🙂 Beautiful pinks… and such a lovely setting – I’d love to sit down next to you and have a chat!

Love reading your blog. Tea sounds wonderful about now… as we are having a rainy day due to Tropical Storm Andrea!
Happy Pink Saturday,

If you set a table for all your blog friends, that would have to be a mighty BIG table!
Katherine,
Oh I would love to join you for tea! You paint such a beautiful picture of your perfect day…Thank you and enjoy your weekend…Aloha, Lori
Happy Pink Saturday, Katie. Your table looks so pretty, and I would love be there with you.
I love sitting outside with a glass of iced tea. =)
Wish we lived closer, ..and I would join you!
Hugs,
Melissa
Tea i.s really good and I should drink it more often. Maybe I will sit down and have a cup later and think about how nice it would be to be able to sit down with Bloggy friends. And also, I wish I could do the same with a sister who lives a few states away from me. We keep saying we wish we lived closer to each other so we could have coffee or tea or hot chocolate, go shopping and just spend more time togetther. Sisters and friends are the greatest.
What a lovely table setting Katherine and it sounds like it was the perfect day to sit outside and enjoy a cup of tea. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
❤Ana
What a beautiful setting and I love a cup of good tea! Love the tea cup too.

Katherine, you worded that so beautifully that I felt like I was right there with you. Thanks for bringing a sunny moment to my morning. It is rainy and dreary here today.
Have a lovely day,
