Christmas Cookie Day Tradition
Christmas Cookie Day Tradition-
Christmas traditions sometimes carry on through our children and when they grow up and have families of their own they are shared with their families and of course they make their own traditions too. But, one Christmas tradition that has lasted through the years is our Christmas cookie day tradition . I love it when our wonderful grandchildren come over for a day of baking frosting and nibbling. Being Grandma to five amazing children ( ages 5-15) is a joy in my life that can not be put into words. This years cookie day was a wonderful success. We laughed and played and made plenty of cookies and happy memories. It’s a tradition I hope will never be replaced, and God willing I will also have cookie day with my great grandchildren some day.
What Christmas tradition do you cherish?
I shared our Christmas eve tradition with you last year. Happily my hubby and I still enjoy this yummy tradition. But, our daughter and her family have their own Christmas eve family tradition now. If you missed it you can find it HERE.
One thing about making memories, there is very little time to take photos. Here are a few very simple snaps of our Christmas cookie day.
We made rice krispie treats too 🙂
Playing Wii while the cookies bake
I give each of the cookie makers a jelly roll tray ( it keeps all of the sprinkles etc, in one place).
Another new use for old things 🙂
all done!
Our oldest granddaughter took a post cookie nap with Izzy 🙂
Taking home the goodies

Precious memories made with those special people in our life!!
I remember making cookies with my stepmom growing up. Did the rice krispie treat have chocolate swirled in? looks delicious!
That looks like lots of fun. The little guys look like they worked so hard cutting out their cookies. Hope you had a crew to come in and clean up afterward. Love that they played games or napped too. Cute.
Looks like the perfect day. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Looked like the perfect day and we are making more cookies today and tomorrow too here now! xoxo 😉
