Heart to Heart-
Bloggers on occasion find themselves asking” does anybody read what I share.” I ask myself that sometimes too. It’s only human to want to know that you are sharing something people want to read/learn/do. I put my heart into everything I share at Katherines Corner so it only seems logical that I share a true heart to heart story with you today.
I received an email last month that I have been keeping close to my heart. Not sure if I would, or even if I should, share it with you. Every time I think of it, when I shared with my hubby, and even now when I write this post, tears leave a trail down my cheeks. But, an email I received yesterday asking me, “ does anybody read my blog?” prompted me to share with you.
Sweet bloggy friends, I almost didn’t open the email. I didn’t recognize the name or the email address. But, my heart knew I should read it. I know that may sound silly to some of you, how does your heart know? It just knew. As I began reading, “ Dear Katherine you don’t know me but, I am _____’s Mother. I am getting her affairs in order and I wanted you to know that she had passed on. She continued on by telling me that Katherines Corner was part of her daughters every day routine and although she never left a public comment she enjoyed her visits to Katherines Corner.
These are my own words summarizing the email I received.
Her bed was moved closer to the window. The warmth of the sunshine chilled her aches and pains. Sounds of wildlife outside her wooded yard drew up the corners of her mouth to form a smile. Trapped by her broken body, she found comfort in emails to friends, social network visits and time spent at Katherines Corner.
I didn’t even know her name until I received the email from her Mother. Unknowingly I was a part of her daily life and I was overwhelmed by emotions as I read each word. This sweet soul, no longer bound by a body that betrayed her, started every day with time spent at Katherines Corner. I was truly, deeply saddened by her loss and I felt grateful and blessed to know that she was a reader.
If you ever find yourself asking, “does anyone read my blog?” Know from one heart to heart experience that they do. Have a beautiful weekend and from my heart to yours, thank you for visiting and for your bloggy friendship.♥
“May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He let His grace shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-6:26 NIV

What an amazing read this post was. I am so sorry to hear about this mother’s loss. It’s amazing how a blog can make such a difference in a person’s life. It’s almost like day by day, post after post, you learn more and more about that blogger and you start thinking of her/him as a friend.
Thank you for sharing such an inspiring article.

How wonderful and touching. I know that a lot of people read your blog, it is wonderful, and I enjoy reading it every chance I get. I still have doubts that much of anyone reads my blog, but I keep on plugging away. I have been pretty down about it lately, the numbers just never seem to increase. I hope someone enjoys my blog even a tiny bit as much as yours was to this dear woman.

I have often wondered the same thing. This is a wonderful tribute to lady you did not know , but you meant something to her. Too, not many children this day and time would have both to let you know about her. It is nice to know you are a blessing to others.

As someone who lives with chronic illness, the internet has literally become a lifeline of hope on days that aren’t so good. How beautiful that this mother, who must be deep in grief, chose to let you know how much you touched her daughter’s life. A reminder also that our words really do impact people, even if we are unaware of the individuals. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. Sammie
