Thank you to Michaels for allowing me to share this cute valentine DIY. Its a very easy bit of craftiness and such a cute decoration for Valentines day, birthday or any day. Grab your glue gun and lets make it with Michaels.
What You Need
- white paint, red paint
- clay pot and saucer
- small fish bowl
- valentine stencil
- wood doll head beads or knob
- brushes sponges
- glue gun
Lets make it!
Paint the 6″ clay pot and the 5″ clay saucer with red acrylic paint. Be sure to paint the bottom of both pieces. Let dry.
Paint the 4″ clay pot and the 4″ clay saucer with red acrylic paint. Be sure to paint the bottom of both pieces. Let dry.
Paint one doll head wood bead with red and one with white. Let dry.
Turn the 6″ clay pot upside-down so the bottom of the pot is facing up. Position the adhesive stencil onto the middle of the clay pot. Using the pouncer, carefully pounce on red paint, being careful to stay within the stencil. Let dry and remove the stencil.
Further embellish the pots and the saucers with dots if desired. To do this, dip the non-brush end of the paintbrush into paint, press onto the surface and pull straight off.
Glue the white doll head to the bottom of the red saucer and there doll head to the white saucer.
Fill the glass bowls with wrapped candy.
Place the 6″ glass bowl onto the pot, then place the saucer over the opening of the glass bowl. If desired, glue the bowl to the clay pot.
Place the smaller glass bowl onto the red pot, then place the red saucer over the opening of the glass bowl. glue the bowl to the clay pot.
