Hello friends, are you feeling crafty? This DIY Heart Gift Box is perfect for Valentine’s day gifting. Valentine’s Day is only three days away. Do you do something special for Valentine’s Day? How do you celebrate? Do you give gifts? I know a lot of people like to go out to dinner. Hubby and I may have gone out to dinner when we were dating over 20 years ago. But we couldn’t recall it. If it’s not memorable it might not have been that great ( wink.)
We both agreed the past 18 + years we have had our celebration of love at home. We always have pretty flowers from my hubby ( you all know I love carnations and stargazer lilies) on the table. Thoughtful greeting cards and a delicious meal we can both enjoy. But…if we did exchange gifts I would love to receive a gift in this pretty DIY Heart Gift Box. I have had this box for years and I have no idea where it came from. I had always intended to remake it.
Okay friends, this is where this pretty DIY heart gift box post goes awry. You know the story, the “best-laid plans.”
Put your crafty hat on and make two boxes, one smaller than the other. Separate the biggest box down the center as seen above. Hold it open and attach a ribbon “hing” add ribbon (with hot glue). Then slip the smaller box inside the larger box. I’ll do my best to update this DIY Heart Gift Box tutorial soon.
Meanwhile, I didn’t have to look far for some help. Jennifer, at Town and Country Living ( you’ve seen her featured on TFT ), has a DIY Heart Gift Box! Make two, and create the hinged DIY Heart Gift Box above!
I hope you will give the DIY Heart Gift Box a try, it’s such a sweet way to give someone sweets or a small gift.
I look forward to seeing you back here on Thursday for the TFT blog hop ( please invite your bloggy friends).
