Holiday Hazelnut Fudge
Hello friends it’s the Christmas holiday season, it’s official, and that means it’s time to make treats, lots and lots of treats! I’m so excited! I know you may be asking why am I so excited about treats, I can’t eat them. I love making them though. So, lets make some hazelnut fudge!
What You Need
2 Cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/4 Cups sugar
1/4 Cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp butter (salted)
1/3 Cup evaporated milk (5oz can)
3/4 cup hazelnuts, walnuts, or pecans (chopped)
1 Cup mini marshmallows
Nonstick cooking spray
8-inch square baking pan
Parchment paper or foil
Foil
Nonstick cooking spray
3-4 Quart saucepan
Rubber spatula (spreader)
Cutting board
Before You Start
Line pan with parchment paper or foil leaving two inches of parchment paper hanging over. Spray lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
Let’s Make It!
In saucepan over medium high heat combine sugars, evaporated milk, and butter. Stirring occasionally bring to a boil. Once boiling, stir continuously for 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and marshmallows. Stir vigorously until chocolate and marshmallows are melted. Stir in nuts to disperse evenly.
Immediately pour into prepared pan. Using a rubber spatula, smooth out the top. Loosely cover with foil and refrigerate for approximately 2 hours (or until firm).
Remove from refrigerator and let stand for 20 minutes. Lift out of the pan by grabbing the overhanging edges of parchment and transfer to a cutting board. Remove the foil and parchment paper.
Dip a sharp knife into hot water and wipe dry. Cut fudge into squares, wipe the knife clean after each cut.
Store in a tightly sealed container or resealable plastic bag for up to 4 days.
*Katie’s Tid Bits try adding a combination of nuts or use marshmallow cream in place of mini marshmallows.

I usually try to shop for the holidays throughout the year, as I see something on sale that I think someone would like.
My wife makes deserts she can’t eat but she still enjoys it.
