Outdoor Living
Hello friends, I think the patio is like an extension of the living room, whether you call it a Lanai, patio, veranda or a deck, there’s just something wonderful about sitting outside under fairy lights, making smore’s and watching the stars. This year our patio isn’t blog worthy, but I found plenty of inspiration for outdoor living. I still plan to fix up our porch and share with you a bit later. All of the containers of flowers should be in full bloom then too. (smile)
House Beautiful, one of my favorite magazines, suggests an all-white patio. It’ll keep the area cool and allows for a beautiful burst of color from your flowers too. That’s outdoor living in style. I have always found outdoor curtains to be such an elegant bit of décor. There’s something they didn’t mention, a spritz bottle of plain water, or a mix of water and cucumber, or rosewater . Lightly sprayed when you need it and a cold herbal water are all great ways to enjoy outdoor living in comfort during the hot summer months.
It is so fun to watch your favorite movie outdoors, drive in style. Projected on a wall or a sheet hanging from the laundry line. Here’s a bit of cozy for outdoor living… an outdoor couch! Good Housekeeping makes the patio into a living room. I love this idea! Repurpose a couch you already own, or create one with a simple frame and a whole lot of pillows! Try some tasty new flavored popcorn, perfect for your evening at the movies too.
Elle Décor has a great idea, well they always do ( smile). An awesome way to enjoy outdoor living. they surround a patio with wonderful green lush foliage and a wisteria covered pergola. Just imagine, it will feel like you are in a tree house. Add wine and good company and experience bliss.
