Write Them Down

Hello friends, I don’t make new year resolutions, but I do set goals. I find it’s always a little easier to envision reaching my goals if I write them down. It helps me to focus and provides me with motivation too. I also think it’s important to be specific about the goals I’m planning to reach. I believe my goals are attainable and realistic, they will find their place on my vision board.

Some of you know I have a vision board from previous blog posts.  One of my favorite things to do is take something off of it. I always do a little happy dance too.

These are just a few of my 2022 goals

I do think it’s important to make sure your goals are clearly defined. For example, I want a body like “fill in the blank”, really isn’t realistic. An attainable goal, might be, I plan to lose 10 pounds by cutting out fried foods and exercising for 20 minutes every day.

I read somewhere, a long time ago, so I’m paraphrasing here, “you have a higher chance of success if you write your goals down”. It has something to do with how your brain works. By writing them down you use both “sides” of your brain. The creative, imaginative side and the logical, critical thinking side.

I believe setting and achieving goals helps us become better versions of ourselves.

Motivation can easily be found at the end of a pen and on scrap of paper. But I like to take it a step further by writing my goals down on a pretty piece of paper. I keep my list of goals somewhere I will see them every day. I keep a list of goals inside the door to our bathroom cabinet, and on my vision board.

So, write it down! Boost your motivation, stay focused, and achieve your goals, and don’t forget to do the happy dance.
