  5. Turbinado sugar is also known as turbinated sugar, it is made from sugar cane extract. It is produced by crushing freshly cut sugar cane; the juice obtained is evaporated by heat, then crystallized. It turns to light brown crystals. Great for sprinkling on the top of a pie , 🙂
