Beef Brisket Recipe
Beef Brisket Recipe
Yesterday was meatless Monday today it’s all Meat! A delicious beef brisket recipe I think you’ll really enjoy.
What You Need
4 Lbs Beef brisket (trimmed)
2 Tbsp Chili powder
2 Tbsp Salt
1 Tbsp Garlic powder
1 Tbsp Onion powder
1 Tbsp Ground black pepper
1 Tbsp Sugar (okay to lessen the sugar or use sucralose instead)
2 Tbsp Dry mustard
1 Bay leaf (crushed)
1 1/2 Cups beef stock
Bowl
Roasting Pan with Lid
Before You Start Preheat the oven to 350 °
Let’s Make it! In a bowl make your dry rub by combining chili powder, salt, garlic and onion powders, black pepper, sugar, dry mustard, and bay leaf. Season the raw brisket on both sides with the rub, using your hands rub all over the beef. Place in a roasting pan and roast, uncovered for 1 hour. Then add beef stock to the roasting pan (enough to fill about 1/2 inch of liquid in the roasting pan) Lower oven to 300° and cover pan tightly and continue cooking for 3 hours ( check occasionally to confirm liquid, add a little water if needed) or until fork-tender. Trim the fat and slice meat thinly across the grain. Top with juice from the pan. Easy and yummy!

I like this recipe! For years I prepared brisket with Lipton’s Dry Onion Soup mix and it was wonderful. My husband now, does not eat onions, though he will let me use onion powder. So this recipe will bring brisket back into my life. Thanks so much for posting it!
It does sound delicious.
Since I’m a lousy cook, I’ll play it safe and continue to get my brisket, already prepared, at my favorite bbq joint. I just hate messing up perfectly good meat!
This sounds delicious! Thanks for stopping by my blog and following! I am glad you did-you have a lovely blog too and I am following you now!
I will be trying this one for sure.
Thanks for the recipe and I hope Tuesday is good to you. 🙂
My hubby did the grocery shopping this weekend and there was a brisket on the list. He did not pick one up. I so wanted brisket.
