Hello friends, the day after Christmas is here, the Zoom Christmas calls are over. Thank you Zoom! We enjoyed watching loved ones unwrapping their gifts and we all laughed a lot! I mean a whole lot, tons of laughter, giggles, and snorts!
We even had Christmas cookie day “baking memories” via Zoom this year. Christmas 2020 will be one we will never forget.
Here is a quick snap of the zoom Christmas cookie baking.
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, no matter how it is celebrated, it brought joy to us. But it also called for extra prayers, for those who lost loved ones to the pandemic or from other causes this year. That empty seat at the table they usually share made it especially difficult for so many.
The day after Christmas is called Boxing Day in the UK and its territories. The origin of Boxing Day is a bit fuzzy really. I grew up thinking it was a day when the “upper class” gifted the “lower class, and/or their employees’ boxes of food and gifts. Not your typical Christmas bonuses (smile). Now I think it is just a day to go shopping like it is here in the US.
I’ll most likely be taking the Christmas decor down. I am grateful you stopped by Katherines Corner today. May your heart be filled with the peace and joy of Christmas as we welcome in a new year.
What will you be doing today?
I hope to see you back here On Thursday for the TFT blog hop link party!a Rafflecopter giveaway
