Sunday Blessings 6
Hello friends, today on the blog I’m continuing the Sunday Blessings blog series and free printables. Today’s verse is from the book of 1 Peter 3:3-4 (NIV) “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
1st Peter3:3-4 (NIV) what does it mean?
1st Peter was focusing on the beauty of a woman that a man must know when he looks for a wife. But it is not just about finding a loving godly woman for a spouse. It is about the beauty that comes from knowing the Lord. It comes from a godly heart, a prayerful spirit and committed soul. In our Christian journeys we are continuing to become more like Christ. When we do, our inner beauty grows.
Because we all know that the innermost nature of a woman and a man is most important to God. It is no big news flash that we judge beauty by the outward appearance of women and men first.
God looks in the heart first. I know we can’t do that. So, while we look at the outside and see what we consider beautiful or handsome, then we must get to know them, and it will be crystal clear that a person’s outward beauty means nothing if inner beauty is not present.
God sees our inner beauty and our hearts. No matter how much our looks change, our hearts unfading beauty never will.
I’m wondering now that I’ve shared this book, chapter and verse if any explanation was really needed. Maybe it is simply a reminder that I shared with you today. 😊 Simply Stated “all true beauty comes from within”.

Without God’s love and beauty on the inside, we are anything but on the outside.
