Memorial Day and a Sale

Dear friends, we are honoring the military personnel who have paid the ultimate sacrifice today. They served in the US Armed Forces. Memorial day is a day of remembrance. For most of us Memorial Day is not lost among the barbecues, picnics and memorial day sales. So, let the joyful sounds of summer include time to acknowledge Memorial Day and all that it means. Our country remains divided on many things, but today I pray everyone will acknowledge Memorial Day.

Did you know that red poppies are the traditional flower of Memorial Day? They grew among the graves of fallen soldiers many years ago. You will see people wearing a red poppy today. (smile)
