A Vintage Find
Many of you know that I have a shop on etsy, well two actually. In my Keepsakes By Katherine shop I sell vintage jewelry among other things. I am always on the look out for wonderful vintage jewelry, preferably with pearls and rhinestones. Today I am sharing this amazing SCORE with you! It’s a Sarah Coventry brooch, with an Art Deco design. I hope it will make someone as happy to own it as I was to discover it.
Sarah Coventry jewelry has had a variety of designs over the years. The designers at Sarah Coventry used to find their inspiration from styles and fashions of the Victorian Era and geometric lines from the Art Deco period. Just sharing a tid bit of info 🙂
As long as I am writing about vintage jewelry I thought it would be the perfect time to mention that I won a giveaway recently at Sarahs’ blog Hope In Every Season. No, not to brag about winning… But to share the sweet pillow she made. It is embellished with a lovely vintage pin! The pillow now rests happily in a corner chair in my art room. Along with the lovely pillow came some of her delicious toffee. It was a big hit with my wonderful hubby ( I can’t eat sugar) I can tell you it is going fast!

Katherine…that pin is gorgeous!…I so remember Sarah Coventry jewelry…my mom had some pieces, but no where to be found now…she probably gave then away…she is like that!!…

My Mom had tons of Sarah Coventry and something else, the name escapes me at the moment. I think it was something like Jewel Tea?
I love Sarah Coventry jewelry! I remember my mom going to the in home parties back in the early 1970’s. I still have all of the pieces that she bought and wear them frequently.

What a pretty pillow! Personally, I love almost any jewelry that isn’t available commercially. There’s nothing worse (to me) than walking down the street and seeing 5 other women wearing the same necklace or bracelet as me!
