  1. Happy Belated Mother’s Day Katherine! I meant to get back to you sooner just to say I’m sorry to hear about your Mothers diagnosis of Alzheimers. I am a former caregiver for Home Instead and I specialized in those with Alzheimers and one of the familys I cared for was a couple who were both diagnosed almost at the same time. It was such a learning experience for me, and I learned so much from these sweet people. I’m not a doctor or nurse, but I worked at a nursing home before I got married for many years and loved it as a CNA, it was very rewarding! Laughter was a big help to me in the 6 years I worked for Home Instead. Not sure it works for everyone but it was very much embraced by my clients and of course their needs were met and were very important, but we spent our time in much laughter and they seemed to really love that. Take care my friend, praying for you and your family!
