Red and Gold Christmas and Izzy too
Hello friends. It’s the Christmas countdown. Yesterday was Christmas Cookie Day with Grandma (I’m a Great Grandma now). It was so fun. I love that our adult grandchildren still come to Christmas cookie day. Pure Love! This year it included our great granddaughter! It was a wonderful day of memory making.

I’m sharing our Christmas tree and a little decor with you today. There is something timeless about the combination of red and gold for Christmas. I think it’s a classic feel of warmth, tradition, and of course, a little bit of magic. (smile)

This year we had some trouble with the lights on the tree. The center and top of the tree weren’t lighting up. After a thorough inspection by my hubby, he did some creative work and managed to get it twinkling beautifully.

I used a mix of sizes for the ornaments. I added some of my favorite Christmas angels, birds and a simple gold beaded garland. Then I finished with a few picks here and there and ta daa!

I had originally planned to put a gold star on the top. I found one at the Dollar tree! But the tree is too tall. Do you think you have to have something on the top of the tree? I added it to our nativity scene.

Every time I walk into the room, it feels like a warm hug. The red brings that nostalgic “Christmas” energy and the gold adds a touch of sparkle. But it’s the overall look that makes the whole house feel like Christmas.

I added Santas in the kitchen and dining room, our great granddaughter loved them!

Of course I didn’t leave our sweet boy Izzy out of the photos! For those of you who do not know, Izzy is a senior dag now, he is a schapso, he has diabetes, he is blind, and has arthritis. ( he gets carried up and down all stairs). He is a joy, and he is incredible in so many ways. We love him sooo much.

What colors did you decorate with this year?
Wishing you a festive Monday. (smile)
