The Miracle that Changed Everything
Hello friends, Merry Christmas! As I sit here admiring our twinkling Christmas tree and listening to some of my favorite Christmas songs. I find a moment of stillness in the magic of Christmas. A calming respite from the holiday rush, shopping and overall chaos of our world in general. My heart is full, thinking of the blessing we all received through Christ. The world Jesus was born into wasn’t much different from ours. It was a time of political unrest, heavy burdens, and deep uncertainty.

The miracle that changed everything
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel (which means ‘God with us’).” Matthew 1:23 (NIV)
The King of Kings arrived in a feed trough, surrounded by the scent of hay and animals. Soon after his birth shepherds arrived. They had received a message from an angel. In Luke 2:10-12 (NIV), the angel tells the shepherds “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
As you celebrate this year, remember that the “good news of great joy” is for all of us.
“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” — Isaiah 9:2 (NIV)
The best gift you can give back to the world this Christmas is to reflect that light. Forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it. Offer a kind word, do something unexpectedly wonderful while taking no credit at all. (smile)
Please join me in prayer. Merciful Lord, thank You for the gift of Your Son. Help us to pause and feel the miracle you gave us. May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard our hearts and minds this Christmas and always. In Jesus name, Amen.
Christmas is the ultimate proof that you are never alone. God is with you in the quiet mornings, in the difficult conversations, and in the moments of joy. He didn’t just send a message; He sent Himself. (heart)
Thank you all for your love and support. Wishing you God’s abundant blessings, Katherine
