Labor Day and a Great Sale
Hello friends, on the blog today, it’s Labor Day! My hubby said, “it’s labor day, no laboring ” (LOL) Seriously when you are a one woman show taking time off is rare. (SMILE) Labor day is the “unofficial” end of summer. Since we are still working on summer projects that just can’t be right can it?
Oh it is raining this morning and I love a rainy day.
What is Labor Day and Why Do We Celebrate It?
Labor Day in the US is a day for recognizing the contributions of workers in our country. Nearly every nonessential state and federal government office will be closed today to celebrate. Labor Day began as a state holiday in the late 1800’s. In 1894 23 states approved it as a holiday and Congress officially made Labor Day a national holiday. Now I realize there’s no mention of a Labor Day sale anywhere in this paragraph. But you can’t miss all of the Labor Day sales today, there are great bargains everywhere. Even in my one woman owned online business.
