What I Know
Did you have a wonderful Christmas, did it snow? We had a white Christmas and I had a grin from ear to ear! The end of the year often causes us to reflect on the year behind us. To wonder why we didn’t, why we did and to look forward to what we will do. I’m sharing just a few things that come to mind right now as I am writing this, some of my answers to the question, “What I know for certain.”
• It is important to celebrate small victories.
• If you bake it they will eat it, even if you are a self-described “not a baker”.
• Online friends are equally as loving as those who enter through the door.
• Prayer is a remarkable thing; all prayers are heard, not all prayers are answered. To read my prayer post please click HERE.
• Love always finds a way.
• What you put out into the world will eventually come back to you.
• God speaks to us through our heart; we must trust what He tells us.
• Meditation is a valuable tool.
• Patience is the easiest virtue. To read my riding out the storm post please click HERE
• Listen to your inner voice, doubt means don’t.
• Change can be frightening but should not stop you from doing it.
• You are not your disease.
• Don’t compare your beginnings to someone else’s endings.

• God is Love.
• Life is not a romantic comedy, action adventure, horror movie or dramatic reading. But, it can bring us humor, we can create our own adventures, horror belongs in the movies, drama is part of life. Joy can be a much bigger part.
• Have a mentor, be a mentor.
• Give with your heart, expecting nothing in return.
• Moisturize!
• Write it down, gratitude or prayer journals can be a cathartic way to end your day.
• Pop ups and captchas are annoying, moderating your comments is just as good.
• Challenge yourself no matter what age you are.
• Most people are good, kind and honorable.
• Life is not a bumper sticker. No matter how great it is to have a child on the honor roll.

• Move, move your body, walk even if it is just around your house.
• Stretching should be part of every day.
• Live your day with sincere gratitude.

• Marrying your best friend is awesome.
• You can’t win if you don’t enter.
• Grandma is one of my very favorite names.

Katherine, so many great truths here! You are not your disease…this is a big one for me that I am always preaching. And life is not a movie. I have a few friends who seem to think they can model their lives after certain movies…and I am watching it result in self destruction…as I keep reminding them that their life is not such and such movie. But I guess one truth I know is that people must learn their own truths…they cannot be taught from someone else’s lessons. Wishing you a very happy, healthy, and blessed New Year!

I loved reading all your “What I Know” items, Katherine. Some of the things you know are the same things I know! One at the top of my list which relates to many others further down is “Love is Everything.” When you live your life attempting to affirm that truth you will be on the right track.
